A 50-Something Health Coach Visits Miami's Most Talked About Wellness Store- NUDE MIAMI

By Someone Who Was Fairly Certain They Weren't Getting Past The Door

For the past two weeks I've been walking past Nude Miami and doing exactly what everyone else in Brickell has been doing.
Watching.
Not shopping.
Watching.
Watching the queue.
Watching the security guard.
Watching people emerge carrying expensive smoothies and looking suspiciously happy about it.
Watching Instagram stories explode with videos of what appeared to be the hottest club opening in Miami.
Except it wasn't a club.
It was a health food store.
Or at least that's what I thought.
Every day I'd walk past thinking:
"Surely nobody queues that long for groceries?"
Apparently, they do.
Welcome to Miami.
More specifically, welcome to Brickell.
A place where even buying a piece of fruit can somehow feel like a VIP experience.
As a fifty-something Integrative Health Coach, I wasn't convinced Nude Miami was designed for people like me.
The crowds looked young.
Very young.
The sort of people who somehow manage to wear activewear as a fashion statement rather than because they've actually exercised.
Everyone looked effortlessly cool.
Everyone looked like they belonged.
Meanwhile, I was beginning to suspect there might be an age limit posted somewhere near the entrance.
The security guard/ bouncer certainly wasn't helping.
The whole thing felt less "health food store" and more "exclusive music festival."
I genuinely wondered if I would be turned away for not being attractive enough.
Or fashionable enough.
Or young enough.
Or all three.
So naturally, I decided to go.
Today was the day.
I abandoned the idea of dressing for the occasion.
No Alo.
No carefully selected Lululemon.
No attempt whatsoever to look like I knew what was happening.
Just shorts.
A T-shirt.
And the confidence of a woman who had absolutely no confidence at all.
As I approached the entrance I prepared myself mentally.
I had already rehearsed the conversation.
"Sorry ma'am, this store isn't really your vibe."
Instead, the doorman smiled and welcomed me inside.
Just like that.
No audition.
No age verification.
No social media follower count required.
I was in.
And immediately felt approximately ninety-three years old.
The music was pumping.
People were smiling.
The energy was electric.
Part grocery store.
Part wellness retreat.
Part Coachella.
Part nightclub.
I wasn't entirely sure what was happening but I was determined to investigate.
As I wandered through the aisles, staff buzzed around excitedly greeting customers.
Everyone seemed to know someone.
Everyone seemed to be discussing smoothies.
Meanwhile I quietly drifted through the store like a wildlife photographer observing a rare species in its natural habitat.
Nobody noticed me.
Which, if we're being honest, was actually perfect.
Because it allowed me to do what I came to do.
Read labels.
A lot of labels.
Possibly an unhealthy amount of labels.
And this is where Nude Miami started winning me over.
Because underneath the music.
Underneath the influencers.
Underneath the hype.
There was actually some substance.
The first product that stopped me in my tracks was something called The Perfect Chip.
Now let me tell you something.
If you've reached a stage in life where you're excited by a tortilla chip ingredient list, you have officially crossed into middle age.
Organic corn.
Grass-fed beef tallow.
Sea salt.
Lime.
No seed oils.
No artificial ingredients.
No mysterious additives.
I stood there reading the packet for so long that another customer probably thought I was emotionally attached to it.
But honestly?
This was impressive.
Not because it was trendy.
Because it was simple.
Tucked in a corner at the back of the shop I discovered the supplement corner.
This was the area that truly drew my attention.
Agent Nateur Marine Collagen.
Beautiful packaging.
Beautiful ingredients.
And unlike many products that rely entirely on marketing, this one actually aligns with what many health professionals discuss regarding healthy ageing, skin integrity, recovery and connective tissue support.
Suddenly I found myself standing in the trendiest store in Miami getting excited about collagen peptides.

Life comes at you fast.
Nearby I discovered Anima Mundi.
Now this felt different.
Almost mystical.
Beautifully packaged herbal remedies that looked like they belonged in an old-world apothecary rather than the centre of Brickell.
One product called Dream immediately caught my eye.
As someone who spends much of her time encouraging clients to prioritise sleep, I found it strangely refreshing.
In a city obsessed with doing more, here was a product encouraging people to rest.
What a revolutionary idea.

Then I wandered over to a range of Dr Bryan Ardis-inspired Microsomal supplements.
One bottle was called Foreign Protein Cleanse.
At this point I was fully invested.
I picked it up.
Read it.
Put it down.
Picked it up again.
I still don't know if I was fascinated or confused.
Possibly both.
Which, to be fair, is often how wellness trends begin.
Then came perhaps my favourite discovery.
A Vegan Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 supplement.
Plant-based.
Fish-free.
Organic.
Simple.
Thoughtful.
Useful.
Not particularly glamorous.
Exactly the sort of thing that quietly supports health without needing its own Instagram account.
But the real winner?

A jar of Smash Foods Raspberry Superfood Fruit Spread.
The ingredients were gloriously simple.
Raspberries.
Chia seeds.
Dates.
Lemon.
No added sugar.
Four grams of naturally occurring sugar per serving.
No weird ingredients.
No chemistry experiment.
No promises to transform my life by Tuesday.
Just real food.
Imagine that.
And that's when it hit me.
Nude Miami has absolutely nailed its product selection.
There are genuinely impressive brands on the shelves, thoughtful ingredient choices, and plenty of products that would make any health-conscious shopper stop and take a closer look.
But as I stood there looking around, I couldn't help wondering:
Is that what all the influencers are queuing for?
Are they flocking to Brickell because they've discovered a tortilla chip cooked in grass-fed beef tallow?
Are they excited about collagen, herbal remedies and low-sugar fruit spreads containing chia seeds?
Or are they really there for the content?
The photos.
The videos.
The social media moment.
Perhaps it's a bit of both.
Because while the products deserve the attention, there's no denying Nude has created an experience people want to share.
And judging by the queue outside, they've absolutely nailed that too.
But here's the thing I hope they never lose.
Behind all the noise, there appears to be a genuine commitment to quality products.
Cleaner ingredients.
Less processing.
More transparency.
Products that people who genuinely care about health can get excited about.
Even if they're standing there in shorts and a T-shirt feeling twice the age of everyone else.
As I left, carrying my simple jar of raspberry spread, I realised something.
The biggest surprise wasn't the store.
It wasn't the products.
It wasn't even the fact that I got through the door.
It was discovering that beneath all the hype was something authentic.
And perhaps the next time a slightly awkward fifty-something walks through those doors, someone might say hello.
Because wellness isn't just for influencers.
It's also for the people quietly standing in the corner reading ingredient labels and getting ridiculously excited about tortilla chips.
And trust me.
There are more of us than you think.
